Responsible for the organization and tracking of paper forms received from various marketing events. Tracked form information in a spreadsheet, scanned forms and entered into ABBYY data entry software, and kept track of data entered. Designed and updated paper forms, and troubleshot issues with ABBYY software. Supervised team of data entry clerks, including scheduling and tracking payroll. Assisted with various office management tasks as needed.

Cataloging Associate, Naperville Public Library; Naperville, IL — 2009-2014

Responsible for cataloging juvenile print material. Helped launch the library’s presence on various social media networks. Managed library’s Foursquare presence. Represented library at On the Front Lines conference in Springfield, Illinois.  Prepared & delivered presentations on library topics to various library groups, including a LACONI (Library Administrator’s Conference of Northern Illinois) Technical Services group workshop.

Staff member, Event Accessibility Services at Anime Central; Rosemont, IL — 2009-Present

Worked as staff member (also Assistant Department Head & Department Head) of Event Accessibility Services department for an annual Anime convention held in Rosemont, IL.  Pre- and post-con, maintained department’s web presence on the convention website and on the convention forums.  Also acted as a global moderator on the convention forums.  At-con, helped any attendees, staff, or guests who needed assistance in removing barriers to their enjoyment of the convention. Unpaid position. Served 6 convention years as a staff member, one as Assistant Department Head, and two as Department Head.

Fabric Department Manager, Hobby Lobby; Mt Prospect, IL — 2004-2008

Managed fabric and needlework departments, ordering and stocking product. Worked fabric cutting counter, cutting fabric to order for customers.  Ran cash register as needed.  Supervised one department employee.

Circulation Clerk, Eisenhower Public Library District; Harwood Heights, IL — 1999-2004

Circulated library materials to patrons. Took care of interlibrary loans. Managed all out-of-system interlibrary loan requests, including searching WorldCat for holdings, determining interlibrary loan method (direct request, SHARE network hold), and managing related paperwork.

Production Editor, NEIU’s The Independent student newspaper; Chicago, IL — 2001

Edited and laid out bi-weekly student newspaper using Adobe Pagemaker. Designed ads for some advertisers as needed. Wrote & edited newspaper articles.  Performed copy editing in absence of copy editor on staff.  Prepared camera-ready copy of issues for printer.
